Dear winter, I’ve had enough of you. We are all sick and I blame the constant changing of weather here in Florida. It went from 80 degrees down to 30 degrees for a week and now we are back to the 70’s. As a mom, being sick is so much worse. You can never relax as you still have your responsibilities as a mom and littles to take care of. So I’ve got a huge pot of homemade chicken soup on the stove and blended up green smoothies for all of us, to give our immune systems a little boost.

My favorite smoothie is this green smoothie recipe, especially when we are under the weather. With crushed ginger, matcha, chia seeds, and spinach, it is refreshing and full of anti-oxidants. It is also super easy to make, as there is no prep and everything can just be thrown into the blender! My new favorite smoothie ingredient is ginger. You can find Pop & Cook at your local Walmart store in the frozen vegetable aisle. I’ve always found it on the top shelf above the frozen veggies! I have the sautéed glazed onions (yay for no crying while I dice onions) and garlic cubes in my homemade chicken soup as we speak. Anything to make my life easier is a total win in my book. Be sure to grab them next time you are at Walmart, you will be pleasantly surprised!
