Easy Yummy Pecan Pie Without Corn Syrup or Refined Sugar

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is already over! We had such an amazing day just the three of us, all cooking and baking together. And now onto eating delicious leftovers for an entire week. One of my favorite dishes to make every year is pie. We always do pumpkin pie and my husband had a request this year for pecan pie. Originally this scared me as I know pecan pie usually calls for corn syrup and lots of refined sugar, both things I like to stay away from when baking. I definitely came up with something delicious and you would never have been able to tell I substituted both of those ingredients out for healthier options.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Add the coconut sugar, melted butter, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, and sea salt to a mixing bowl. Mix until combined. Stir in the pecan halves.
  3. Place the pie crust onto a baking sheet, and pour filling into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Place baking sheet with the pie into the oven and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees F.
  5. Lower oven temp to 350 degrees F and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Pie will be finished when it is golden brown and the filling does not move around.
  6. Cool on wire rack and serve once completely cooled!

As with most baked goods, I use butter with the Real California Milk Seal. I love knowing that they are made with high quality milk from California dairy farmers, and their initiative Seals For Good.

The Seals for Good campaign has expanded to support those in Califronia affected by the wildfires. Spread some California love to families in need, just by snapping a pic of the Real California Milk Seal, share it using #SealsForGood, and Real California Milk will donate $5 to the Great American Milk Drive. Proceeds will go to help those affected by wildfires in CA as well as families affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in TX/FL. There is absolutely no purchase necessary and you can post now until December 31st, 2017.
