We are two weeks away from December, which means we are only two weeks away from the arrival of our Elf on the Shelf – Snowflake! After doing this for my brothers when they were younger, I was so excited to start it with my daughter last year. She was so into it after reading the book and filling out the adoption form online, and getting to name her elf on her own. Every morning of December was filled with excitement as we looked around the house to see what antics that Snowflake got into this time. Here are a few of our favorites from last year…
The first morning, Snowflake zip-lined into the house on a candy cane.
Toilet paper snowman. I used small pins to keep the hands to the toilet paper and then sharpies to draw the face.
Reading our daughter’s favorite book Snow White while wearing a Snow White barbie doll dress.
On Christmas morning, Snowflake headed back to the North Pole with Santa, so I created a letter and placed it next to the eaten cookies and milk. She loved this!
Do you guys participate with Elf on the Shelf? What is your favorite idea so far?
