You guys, we went to Magic Kingdom three times last week. Pure exhaustion. But despite the heat, humidity, and rain, we just kept having so much fun together that we found ourselves going way more often then usual. When Disney is in your backyard you tend to become a pro at bringing as little as possible to the parks, and spending as little money as possible. The first thing I tell people asking what to pack — healthy snacks. The food at the parks is outrageously over-priced and with all that processed food, sugar crashes are bound to happen. You are walking and waiting for hours and I am always making sure we all keep eating to avoid getting hangry, especially in the longer ride lines. Here are some healthy snacks that I always try to bring along when we are out:
- Veggies with Almond butter (Carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers)
- Hard boiled eggs
- String cheese
- Fruit, like berries and melons
- Yogurt tubes (I like to freeze them so they can be eaten as popsicles or thaw during the trip. You can even throw a bunch in the cooler as ice packs!)
- Roasted nuts
- Apples and Bananas
- Dried fruit (just be on the lookout for the sugar content)
- Wheat/rice crackers
- Lorissa’s Kitchen meat snacks
