This quick and easy DIY bath soak is perfect for winter time bath relaxation and it makes a great gift too!
There is something magical about taking a bath ever since having kids. I don’t know if it is the fact that I rarely get to take one in peace or if we just grow more fond of them as we get older. I recently started adding my own homemade bath soaks to create an even more relaxing experience.
What You Need:
1 Cup Oatmeal (ground in the blender until it forms a powder)
1 Cup Epsom Salt (I prefer Dr. Teals, without any fragrance added)
1/2 cup Baking Soda
Essential Oils of your choice
Combine all of the dry ingredients and store in a glass jar. You can either wait to add essential oils and put them straight in the bath or add it right into the mixture in the jar. That would be a great option if gifting this! Just add several spoonfuls to your bath and enjoy. My favorite wintertime oil mixtures are:
- 4 drops lavender and 4 drops cedarwood
- 4 drops frankincense and 4 drops sandalwood
- 4 drops lavender and 4 drops frankincense
- 3 drops each of orange, clove, cedarwood, and lemon
- 4 drops peppermint and 3 drops lavender
